Volunteers are a crucial part of the operation of the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center. Whether ushering at one or more of our many performances and events or representing the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center at community events, our volunteers play an integral role in our success. Our volunteers are a diverse and fun group to work with and enjoy sharing their time and talents with us.
How do we select volunteers?
We accept volunteer applications at all times and review them at the beginning of each semester (August and January). We select volunteers in the order in which receive application, seniority, and quality of previous volunteer work.

What Do Volunteers Do?
Volunteers work primarily during performances, serving as greeters, ticket-takers, ushers and concession stand attendants. Volunteers arrive one hour and fifteen minutes before the performance start time.
Volunteers must be willing to sign up for and work a variety of events. Volunteers may choose their own performances. Assignments are given on a first-come first-served basis.
What Are the Benefits of Volunteering at the Wallace Hall Fine Arts Center? While on duty volunteers are able to watch the performance for free. Seating is typically available but not guaranteed. Volunteers also earn 'Ticket Points' which may be redeemable for free tickets for certain performances. Also, volunteers may donate their Ticket Points for tickets to our Arts Access Ticket Project which provides free admission to low income children and their families.
